T-T I think it's sad and funny at the same time. It also makes me feel better about my costume. I need to redo it at some point, but the basic outline will stay the same.

Well I'd prefer to look like the character rather than have a fail costume that ends up on ED's cosplay article. So far, outside of my Deidara fail and Dai Li fail, I've done pretty good improvs with the material at hand. 2 out of 4 isn't so bad, right?

Have you tried redyeing, incidentally? O.o
Its not that bad. Especially considering that you're adding more to the list. That'll increase the ratio of epic to fail.
Just don't use any more feathers. Feathers will automatically result in fail because of your cat
